The Canadian Red Cross (CRC) is pleased to partner with CARP NL to bring you a session on the importance of being prepared for an emergency. Everyone is welcome to this ZOOM event.
Our Be-Ready: Emergency Preparedness workshop will take you through the 4 key steps:
1. Know the Risks
2. Make a Plan
3. Build a Kit, and
4. Build a Network
The importance and relevance of this presentation comes at a time when we see the horrific fires in California and floods and wind damage in our own province.
The Order of the Red Cross is the highest honour awarded to a volunteer and Bernice Paul is a recipient for her lifetime of work and dedication.
We are delighted to have Bernice, an Emergency Management volunteer with the Canadian Red Cross for over 47 years and on the Emergency Management team for the past 25 years. Bernice has assisted locally with personal emergencies, such as house fires and has been deployed to numerous large-scale disasters, such as 9/11, floods, fires, hurricanes, and tornados within Canada and the United States.
