An Engaging Hour with Fergus O’Byrne

CARP NL Chapter invites our NLPSPA members and friends to join us for a fun-filled, exciting, sing-along evening with musician Fergus O’Byrne.

Fergus is an Irish-Canadian musician who brings happiness, laughter and gaiety to life.

Fergus O’Byrne is well-recognized for his efforts in promoting Newfoundland and Celtic music and has received several awards acknowledging these accomplishments including an ECMA Lifetime Achievement Award and an NLAC Arts in Education award shared with Jim Payne. 

We are delighted to inform you that Fergus and Jim were awarded the Newfoundland and Labrador Premier’s Inaugural Medal for Arts, Heritage, Sports and Recreation in December 2024. The Inaugural Medal was for their outstanding contributions, efforts and accomplishments preserving and promoting Newfoundland and Labrador’s vast heritage and history.

In addition to touring nationally and internationally, Fergus works extensively mentoring young folk enthusiasts and students throughout the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
