National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

To honour survivors and raise awareness about the terrible legacy of residential schools in Canada, the NLPSPA will observe the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30, 2021.

Marking this day is extremely important to the reconciliation process.

By recognizing a National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, all Canadians will be able to reflect, learn, and grieve the histories and cultures of the Indigenous peoples. We encourage our members to take time to honour the children who survived, and those who did not.
