CRA (Canada Revenue Agency) in partnership with NLPSPA & CARP NL presents an information session on everything you need to know about the benefits and credits available to you to help you prepare your 2025 tax return.
Benefits and credits can make a big difference to people in our community. Now that we have turned the corner into 2026, our thoughts will soon turn to the dread of filing our annual tax returns.
Once again, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has agreed to host an information session for seniors on income tax, benefits, credits, how to prepare your taxes, how to avoid payment interruptions, what special tax credits may be available and what services CRA can provide, as well as the GST/HST credit, disability tax credit, pension income splitting, medical expenses, the caregiver benefit, etc. CRA will also provide information on the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program, online services and answer general questions you might have.
When: Friday, February 13, 2026
Time: 2:00 PM
Our presenter for this event will be Melanie Cole, CVITP and Benefits Outreach Officer from the CRA location in St. John’s.
This is an online event, and internet access and registration are required.
Reminders, with the link, will be sent one day before each event.
