You are invited to meet and join our performers for a delightful hour of music and song — close on the heels of Valentines’ Day!!!
Filliday is a vocal quartet singing for 15 years. They sang a number together with the St. John’s Choir and enjoyed it so much, they continued on as “Filliday”.
The name comes from the Dictionary of Newfoundland English as a description, by Capt. Whitbourne in 1623, of the local small singing birds. The quartet is based in St. John’s and includes Judy Gibbons, Gary Jeffrey, Kathy Ann Mahoney (Holyrood), and Rick Tucker (Paradise).
They have performed at The Rooms, Commissariat House, and are regular Christmas Carolers at the MUN Botanical Garden’s Merry and Bright Festival of Lights.
They entertained at the dinner show at the Random Passage setting in New Bonaventure, the National RCMP Convention in St. John’s, as well as various fund-raisers, and benefits for charitable and community groups.
Given the timing, they will sing some love songs, 60s folk music as well as traditional tunes.
