An Evening with the Flummies

ABOUT THE ARTISTs:

The Flummies are a five piece Inuit music group home-based in the Central Labrador community of Happy Valley-Goose Bay NL.

The band is prominently known for recording and preserving
contemporary historical, cultural and traditional songs of Labrador but have several of their own self-penned hits being played on radio.

The Flummies continue to please audiences with their hometown mixture of good heartwarming, toe-tapping music. The style is a blend of traditional accordion mixed with overtones of classic rock and roll and country music.

The group has performed at many festivals and conferences around Atlantic Canada, across the eastern Canadian Arctic, Ontario, and the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. 

Included in their touring was a five show performance in Germany in 1989 and twenty-eight shows at the base of the CN
Tower in June of 1999. Original Flummie member Richard Dyson (accordion) hometown Batteau Labrador, is joined by Sim Asivak (bass) hometown Happy Valley, Leander Baikie (acoustic guitar and vocals) hometown North West River, and Tunker Campbell (acoustic & amp; electric lead guitar, and vocals) from The Valley.
