The Memorial University of Newfoundland Pensioners’ Association (MUNPA), founded in 1985, is a not-profit organization that represents the interests of all retired faculty, staff and their principal beneficiaries. It advocates for its members through membership on the University Benefits and Pensions committees, and membership on the College and University Retirees Association of Canada (CURAC). It provides many social networking opportunities through various events, special interest talks, training courses of special interest to seniors and other socials throughout the year.

The CBC Pensioners National Association represents the interests of 10,000 retired CBC pensioners from all over Canada. The organization has regional branches, including ours in Newfoundland and Labrador. As of January 2024, the NL Branch has more than 170 dues paying members.

NL 50+ Federation: The Newfoundland and Labrador 50+ Federation was incorporated on October 13th, 1978 and consists of over 130 clubs with approximately 7000 members. The Federation serves as an advocate and a voice for seniors across the province of NL and in an advisory role with all member clubs and will continue to do so on behalf of our members. The Newfoundland and Labrador 50+ Federation Inc. is an open and inclusive group of people age 50 and over who come together with shared interests. It strives to improve the quality of life for seniors throughout the province. The Federation looks forward to serving our senior members of NL in the coming year at a time when seniors are facing challenging times.
