Dear NLPSPA Members and Friends.
I want to begin this message with a huge thank you to you, our members, and to the NLPSPA Board of Directors, for the opportunity to undertake the position of President of our Association for the next two years, beginning with my appointment on October 10 of this year. Last year, I had indicated my intention to serve as President, thus assuming the position of President Elect for one-year prior. Under the tutelage of President Wayne Noseworthy, to whom I offer a sincere vote of thanks, I learned the details of the business of the Association, how the new governance structure was working, how solid our financial situation is, and how confident I would be in the support and guidance provided to me by the Executive Director and our office Administrative Assistant. It can only be onward and upward from here.
As I begin my term, I look to the directions already laid out in our NLPSPA Strategic Plan for 2024-2028. The Association has five strategic priorities, all of which have clearly defined goals with action items to achievement of the intended directions. Over the next four years, we will focus on ensuring the stability of your pensions and other insured benefits, we will look to ways of supporting and increasing our membership, we plan to continue to improve our communications methods and community outreach, we will not be silent when it comes to our advocacy on issues of importance to you, especially with elections pending in the next year, and lastly, but of critical importance, we will ensure we have the right infrastructure to deliver on all our promises to you.
I invite you to visit our website and experience the wealth of information and services that are literally at your fingertips. I also encourage you to participate in the wide variety of membership events that we have organized and to consider the digital literacy training opportunities that will help you better navigate the digital business world of today.
As autumn turns into the cold months of winter, I wish you safety in your daily living. I also take this opportunity to extend seasonal greetings to you as we approach the Christmas period. May happiness, good health, and multiple blessings be yours in the coming new year of 2025. And thank you once more, for your confidence to serve as your NLPSPA President for the next two years.
Craig Hall
President
