DESCRIPTION:You are invited to meet and join our performers for a delightful hour of music and song — close on the heels of Valentines’ Day!!!  \nFilliday is a vocal quartet singing for 15 years. They sang a number together with the St. John’s Choir and enjoyed it so much\, they continued on as “Filliday”. \nThe name comes from the Dictionary of Newfoundland English as a description\, by Capt. Whitbourne in 1623\, of the local small singing birds. The quartet is based in St. John’s and includes Judy Gibbons\, Gary Jeffrey\, Kathy Ann Mahoney (Holyrood)\, and Rick Tucker (Paradise). \nThey have performed at The Rooms\, Commissariat House\, and are regular Christmas Carolers at the MUN Botanical Garden’s Merry and Bright Festival of Lights. \nThey entertained at the dinner show at the Random Passage setting in New Bonaventure\, the National RCMP Convention in St. John’s\, as well as various fund-raisers\, and benefits for charitable and community groups. \nGiven the timing\, they will sing some love songs\, 60s folk music as well as traditional tunes.  \nJoin Us on Thursday February 16th  \n7:30pm to 8:30pm Newfoundland \n7:00pm to 8:00pm Labrador \nPlease click the following link to register.
