Intact Insurance (Anthony Insurance)

Hello again NLPSPA Members,

Further to my email message of this morning, I need to advise you of some important corrections.

If your number of kilometres driven has decreased because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Anthony Insurance can reduce your auto insurance premium for three months. To request this change, you are invited to fill an online form on the Anthony Insurance website at https://covid19.anthonyinsurance.com/. Please disregard my directives this morning of completing the Intact Insurance online form.

Due to the high volume of requests, our partners at Anthony Insurance kindly ask that you not call them back to check on the status. You will receive a confirmation email once your request has been completed in the next 30 business days.

For those of you who may have already completed the Intact Insurance online form, you are asked to refile on the Anthony Insurance form. Your filing to Intact Insurance will not be routed to Anthony Insurance and will not be actioned for the premium adjustment. While Anthony Insurance is part of the Intact Financial Corporation, they do operate separately.

Dear Members of NLPSPA,

I trust that you are all well and doing your very best to ensure that our recovery from COVID-19 is in line with the established health protocols. Hopefully, our lives will return to some sense of normal as quickly as possible, even though I suspect we are living the new normal for some time to come.

In case you are not aware, Intact Insurance, the parent company of Anthony Insurance, has taken action to provide some relief on our insurance premiums during the pandemic. The Intact Financial Corporation has announced that they are providing payment flexibility and premium adjustments that recognize hardship and/or reduced driving habits during our current health crisis. Specifically, they are providing:

  1. a reduction of 15% on average for three months to reflect changes in driving habits;
  2. a 75% reduction per month, on average, if you park and safely store your vehicles during this period;
  3. waiving missed payment fees;
  4. flexible payment options;
  5. flexibility if using your vehicle for different purposes, such as making deliveries or running a home business;
  6. premium adjustments for small or medium sized businesses that are impacted in terms of sales or payroll; and,
  7. premium adjustments for changes of use or storage of commercial vehicles.

These relief measures will be in place up until and including June 30, 2020.

You will need to have your policy number to complete the form (link is in the above message).
